Tribune’s note
Minister for Trade and Tourism Don Farrell opened the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE26) in Adelaide, projecting a $13.6 million economic boost for South Australia from the four-day event. The exchange draws 730 international buyers and travel agents from 32 countries, with 1,400 Australian industry representatives scheduled to hold more than 55,000 face-to-face meetings across the program.
The portfolio's central instrument is the large-scale trade show format: connecting international buyers directly with regional Australian operators to translate meetings into export revenue across a sector supporting over 700,000 jobs.
